Lake Naivasha is a beautiful fresh water lake, fringed by thick papyrus. This lake is a home to an incredible variety of bird species. All told the area has a bird list of over 350 species. Being a fresh water lake, Naivasha has a healthy fish population which attracts a variety of fish eaters. Both long tailed and great cormorants can be seen, along with fish eagles and pied kingfishers. One can have a chance to watch black herons feeding on the lake. It’s a popular destination for experts and tourists who go there for weekend away. The yellow fever trees line the shoreline and this attractive part of Kenya and it’s a good place to come close to Nature.  Lake Naivasha is the second largest fresh water lake in Kenya and the highest of the central rift valley lakes, this lake has kept much of its old colonial charm and its only two hour’s drive from Nairobi. The lake has become a recreation centre for many people because of its true cool nature. The lake and its surrounding is rich in natural bounty, and the fertile soils and water supply have made this area one of the Kenya prime agricultural regions
